Word: Reflect
Verse: "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect theLord's glory are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 cor 3:18
Study: The root of the word Glory means thoughts or opinions. In this case, the thoughts or opinions of God are true and changeless. "God's opinion marks the true value of things as they appear to the eternal mind, and God's favorable opinion s true glory." (The Complete Word Study Dictionary by Spiros Zodhiates") The true glory of man, is to return to the original condition which God intended when He made man--that restoration/transformation can take place through Christ alone!
Application: If we are honest with Christ (through confession) we see Jesus' revealed in his splendor, can ascribe to Him His full recognition, and can be returned to our original purpose--being in relationship with, being filled by, and reflecting His love in our lives.
